Biography
Aida Avanessian Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Aida Avanessian serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Aviana Airways Corporation. With over 20 years of diverse corporate experience in Finance, Marketing and Information Technology, Avanessian oversees the company’s finance operations, including financial planning and analysis, controllership, internal audit, tax, treasury and risk management. Before joining Aviana Airways, Avanessian served as Sr. Program Manager with Walt Disney’s Marketing team where she successfully led a multi-billion dollar project for a co-branded credit card program with a team at JP Morgan Chase Bank. Prior to joining Walt Disney, Avanessian served as a Director at Warner Bros. and entertainment and media conglomerate, where she spearheaded Finance & Accounting outsourcing and shared services initiatives for five of their major business units. Prior to joining Warner Bros., Avanessian served as an Auditor for KPMG, LLP, a big four accounting and professional services firm where she led audit engagements for medium to large size companies. During her tenure with KPMG she served various industries as a trusted business partner with clients ranging in size from $1 billion to $32 billion such as WellPoint, Warner Music Group, and several international banks. Prior to KPMG, Avanessian served as an IT Finance and Business Operations Lead at WellPoint, Inc., a major healthcare company, where she led and supported several high profile initiatives pertaining to reorganization, process improvement and cost savings. Prior to joining Wellpoint, Avanessian served as an Accountant for more than 10 years with major public accounting firms, banks and media industries leveraging her broad spectrum of accounting and finance expertise. Avanessian was educated in New Jersey, earning a B.A. Degree in Accounting from William Paterson University. Avanessian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and received a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation.
